One Hundred Years
We were truly honored to be selected to create Anchor Paper Company’s commemorative 100 year anniversary calendar. Anchor Paper is a fourth generation, family-owned Saint Paul business since 1923. They’re known for their excellent service, vast selection of fine & industrial paper products, the annual calendar and of course their large landmark neon sign that lights up the St. Paul skyline. We see that massive sign every day as we go to and from the office.
Working on this calendar meant that we “needed” to get the in-depth tour of Anchor Paper headquarters. We were like kids in a candy store: archival material, vintage swatch books, catalogs, scary elevator, photos and stories galore. It was clear Anchor Paper is a special company; employee owned, with great people like our sales person Dave Lundell.
Using their beloved “3-month-at-a-glance” calendar format we dove into the inspirational references to create a calendar that celebrates and honors their history in a vibrant way. We re-created some past logos and added some new ones of our own. And of course that iconic sign became a central element to represent all sectors of Anchor: Fine Paper, Express Stores, Industrial & Packaging, and Seed Solutions.
