Ahora en Venta! Now on Sale! MTV was relatively new in the Latin American Markets (only 3 years old) so reinforcing MTV as a grocery store brand was relevant with advertisers such as Proctor and Gamble. MTV becomes the brand being sold, like cereal, with the chaotic, hard-sell feel of a supermarket. The media kit was sent to big brand, media planners in Latin American markets, therefore it needed to be in both Spanish and English, which was a trick since we don’t speak Spanish. The hand-done/low-tech quality is a reflection of the traditional visual communication in these markets. The box functions as an easel for sales presentations and was designed for travel and mailing reasons to be as small, light and versatile as possible.
