Minnesota Public Radio

MPR wanted an identity that was sophisticated, yet modern and progressive. Friendlier, more approachable lowercase letters were used to counter the perception that public radio is snobby, exclusive and old fashioned. The radiating lines can be seen as broadcast waves as well as the ripple effect of MPR's innovative programming. The stationery needed to be fresh, clean, and sophisticated. It also had to be very flexible facilitating the need to change the address for the many various network stations and add a variety of copy lines.
