Fugitive Days

A Memoir by Bill Ayers

Fugitive Days is a memoir written by Bill Ayers, member of the 60s radical group “The Weathermen.” It details life on the run and a search for identity and meaning in tumultuous times. The story hinges on a bombing; despite this, the publisher requested that the cover not focus on violence. Rather, they wanted to emphasize the search for what’s right. The cover image is literally reflecting on the past while speeding through the countryside. The rough, handwritten type hints at the personal nature of the story as well as the violence involved.
